The following was copied from the Radio Free Austin website.
My name is Wes Perkins, and the following is my public statement regarding the future of Radio Free Austin:
Over 4 years ago I co-founded Radio Free Austin along with Mike Jones. Mike has always said, and I have always agreed, that Radio Free Austin should be an independent network, not taking sides or being influenced by any of the radio networks or hosts that Radio Free Austin puts on the air. Radio Free Austin is an all-volunteer organization with no commercial interests, and refuses to be influenced by those who have commercial interests.
I have built and have maintained the technical infrastructure for Radio Free Austin with an intense desire to save this republic from the clutches of the New World Order. I have worked alongside Mike Jones believing that he too had similar interests. Over the past few weeks, as events have unfolded, I have learned the harsh reality that Mike Jones has betrayed the trust of both myself and the others involved in Radio Free Austin.
Mike Jones has colluded with John Stadtmiller to take over the micro network and merge it with the Republic Broadcasting Network. Mike has expressed a deep interest in removing Alex Jones from the airwaves of Radio Free Austin. Mike has said that if the micros don’t go along with his secret merger plan after it is revealed, that he would take back transmitter equipment that he claims to be his.
Mike has also poisoned my relationship with RBN as a contractor and service provider, thereby affecting my livelihood and causing me economic damage.
And finally, Mike Jones has tracked down where I live and has reported my whereabouts to Stadtmiller, whereby, according to eyewitness reports, John and Mike were then observed planning to blackmail me. Mike Jones, at Radio Free Austin board meetings, has supported the actions of John Stadtmiller in lock step. Regarding Stadtmiller brandishing guns carelessly, Mike said “that’s no big deal – I’ve pulled guns on people”.
Regarding the issue of Stadtmiller calling GCN’s advertisers and telling them that GCN is going out of business, Mike again stood behind his man, saying “that’s just business – everyone does that.”
After my going public regarding RBN last week, Mike Jones has now sent me a contract to set out terms of the split up of Radio Free Austin, which, without consideration to the free will of the folks hosting transmitters, splits the various transmitter locations into two camps. Mike also includes in his contract additional attempts at coersion and blackmail by bringing personal issues between Mike and myself into the contract which have no place there.
I contend that said contract is bogus in total. Firstly, a lot of folks have contributed to Radio Free Austin over the years trusting that it would continue to be managed and operated with an independent focus. Secondly, Mike is trying to claim ownership of the transmitter equipment that is spread around to the various transmitter locations.
Mike Jones is only responsible for a portion of that equipment. Many thousands of dollars have been donated by others who have brought several transmitter locations into being outside of Mike’s influence or financial contributions. Also, Mike has been the treasurer of the donation mail drop for well over a year, thereby effectively being paid back for a portion of his expenses. All of the equipment, efforts and resources of a large number of people cannot be simply thrown into a box and split up in such a wreckless fashion. Radio Free Austin is a pool of resources involving a lot of people. One guy can’t suddenly change his philosophy and take it all sideways or backwards. I’m not going to allow that to happen. Mike is the one splitting away from the stated mission, and it is Mike that will need to start over from scratch. If he wants to operate a new micro network alongside with those who spread lies and hatred, then let him start from scratch and get folks behind him who believe in that mission with it being clearly stated up front.
I will continue to provide the feed for Radio Free Austin with little changes. I will continue to support the technical infrastructure which provides a platform for local activism in the community with no commercial influence. Local announcements will continue. Any of the existing transmitter locations may continue to provide the Radio Free Austin feed if they so desire – no changes will be required on their part. However, I will not support divisiveness and deceit from the likes of John Stadtmiller. To learn more about my experiences at RBN Click Here.
Mike Jones may be starting a new micro network, or working with Stadtmiller to install micros exclusively for RBN. Either way, I wish him well. He’s now doing everything that he once said he would never do, but that’s his choice.
If Mike attempts to arm-twist any of the existing transmitter locations to go with him against their wishes, it should be known that a lot of large money backers are standing by to replace any transmitter equipment that comes to be in dispute with regards to ownership. Mike should be forced to bring a full accounting of his expenses and donation receipts to the table if he wants to make an issue out of transmitter ownership.
As far as Radio Free Austin programming – we will have few issues there. GCN is improving their programming lineup as we speak, and we will also consider some other networks that have been out there and working with them to iron out the technical issues required to pick them up. There are also a number of potential new networks that are working to launch – we will be keeping a close eye on them as well.

Gee, I guess Wes Perkins was mistaken when he said he “owned” the domain names for RBNlive. Otherwise, his screed would still be up there. It didn’t take a genius to figure out the domains for RBNlive.com and -.net were owned by “Republic Broadcast Network. So what gives? Why did Wes claim to own those domain names?
Also, does anyone have news, about why the Jeff Rense website has been down for three days?
